Itinerary  
Day 1: Delhi to Jaipur Upon arrival in India, take your time to explore New Delhi, a city known for its rich and exotic history. Begin your tour in the evening with a ceremonial welcome aboard the Palace on Wheels at Safdarjung, New Delhi. Feel free to explore your new home, and acquaint yourself with its various facilities. Dinner will be served on board the two restaurants. (Dinner) Day 2: Jaipur to Jaisalmer In the morning arrive in Jaipur, the Pink City, known for its colorful and fascinating architecture. Your tour begins at the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of the Winds, followed by a visit to the Amber Fort where you will ride on canopied elephants in pomp and royal style of ancient maharajas. After shopping at Rajasthali, the State's Handicrafts emporium for souvenirs and crafts, an exotic and sumptuous lunch awaits you at the majestic Rambagh Palace. In the afternoon enjoy time to explore the City Palace, now a museum, full of royal splendor and the amazing Jantar Mantar - Astronomical Observatory. In the evening after a cultural program of enthralling dance and music, dinner is a celebration under the canopy of the star-lit skies at exotic Jai Mahal Palace. The train departs from the Pink City at 5:30pm. Overnight on train. (All meals) Day 3: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur Arrive at 6:15am in Jaisalmer. Spend the day in this isolated, but architecturally, one of the greatest Royal Bastions of the World. After a safari dinner served under the stars, return to the train to resume your journey. Departure is at 11:30pm. (All meals)
Day 4: Jodhpur to Ranthambore Arrive in Jodhpur at 8:00am. Spend the morning at Mehrangarh, Fort which towers over the city like an eagle’s eye and then come downhill for lunch at Umaid Bhawan Palace, the largest art-deco residence in the world and now home to the head of the royal family, museum, and luxury hotel. After unwinding and relaxing at the palace, depart at 3:30pm. (All meals)
Day 5: Ranthambore to Chittaurgarh Arrive at 4:00am. Steam into Sawai Madhopur, to spend the day in the wilds of Ranthambhor where your hosts are, of course, royal. Ranthambore National Park is home to the Royal Bengal Tiger, the most majestic of the big cats. Since the best time to visit the park is early morning, the train arrives at 4:00am, and leaves for Chittaurgarh at 11:00am. Arrive in Chittaurgarh at 3:30pm. Chittaurgarh is India's most valorous fort, its history an unending saga of passion, chivalry, and romance. Lunch and dinner are served on board the train. (All meals) Day 6: Chittaurgarh and Udaipur to Bharatpur Arrive at 7:30am in Chittaurgarh and Udaipur, the capitals of the Sisodia Maharanas. Enjoy pre-eminence among the Rajput clans of Rajasthan. Spend the day sightseeing at Udaipur. Lunch is at Lake Palace, the beautiful island palace built as a summer resort by the royal family, and now converted into one of the world's finest hotels. The train departs again at 8:00pm, and dinner will be served on board. (All meals) Day 7: Bharatpur and Agra to Delhi Arrive in Bharatpur at 6:00am. Visit the bird sanctuary, one of the finest in the world. After visiting the sanctuary in the morning, travel by coach to Fatehpur Sikri, the red sandstone city built by Emperor Akbar. Continue on to Agra, stopping first for lunch and then for a visit to the world’s most well-known monument and well worth its fame: The Taj Mahal. (All meals) Day 8: Delhi for Departure Arrive back in Delhi as early as 6:00am where, after breakfast on board the train, return to modern life. (Breakfast)

Departure Dates Trains depart every Wednesday from September through April. The train does not run in the months of May, June, July, and August.

Please call us toll free at 1-877-362-2793 and let us know which departure date you would like to book. We will then check the availability and let you know. Then follow these instructions:
- Download, print, and fill out the Reservation Form for each person.
- Fax the form to us at 206-529-4803, or mail it to:

- Pay a non-refundable $500 per person deposit and we will initiate your reservations.
- Final payment is due 75 days prior to departure.
If your reservation is made less than 75 days prior to departure, the non-refundable deposit will allow us to initiate reservations. Full payment will be due immediately upon confirmation of all hotels and transportation services. If the services quoted cannot be confirmed, alternate accommodation or transportation will be arranged and the price will be adjusted accordingly.
Payments can be made by personal check, bank wire transfer, or credit card. Cash discounts of 3.5% will be applied if ALL payments are made by personal check or bank wire transfer. Upon receipt of your deposit, we will initiate your reservations and send you a statement showing your payment. Approximately 4 weeks prior to your departure, we will send you a final confirmation package containing your itinerary and detailed information on the logistics of your trip. Cancellation/Refund Policies
- Cancel more than 60 days prior to departure - forfeit your deposit.
- Cancel between 30 and 60 days prior to departure - forfeit 50% of the tour cost.
- Cancel less than 30 days prior to departure - NO REFUND of tour cost.
- Cancellations must be made in writing and sent via mail, fax, or email to Red Lantern Journeys.
- Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receipt of your written request.
- No refunds are available for unused services or tours during your trip.
