We offer commissions on any itinerary with a price on our web site. Your client pays you. You pay us. No waiting for commissions.
Net Rates on Custom Itineraries
When your client wants a custom itinerary, we’ll consult with you to create an itinerary, select hotels, and then give you a net price. You add your markup and charge the total to your clients.

Special Offer for ASTA Travel Agents
Red Lantern Journeys is a member of ASTA's Tour Operator Program (TOP). We are pleased to offer ASTA travel agents 15% commissions on private tours with published rates on our web site. Non-ASTA members receive a 10% commission.
Payment Policies
We believe in helping the agent maintain the relationship with their client and that means that we ask you to collect payment from your client. Our contract is with you, the agent, and we ask for payment by agency check after your client pays you. A deposit of $500 is required to initiate a booking, with final payment being due 75 days prior to departure.
Policies on Custom Itineraries
We all know that developing custom itineraries is a time consuming process. Therefore, to help the client along in their decision-making process, we have the following policies for working with agents on custom itineraries for their clients:
- Itinerary Development - One free itinerary with price quote per client. This price quote can include prices for 2 options of hotels (e.g. 4 and 5 star hotels) and 1 change (changes made before getting a price quote don't count). For example, if the client sees the itinerary and price quote and then asks to change the order, or destinations, or dates, we will requote at no charge...but only once. After that the client should be able to decide if they want to book with us or not. Upon receipt of a $500 per traveler deposit from the travel agency (after you've collected it from your client), we will be happy to make additional changes at no additional cost.
